Meet Emery Hester, a talented senior at Cordova High School whose skills extend far beyond the classroom.
Emery has made a significant impact as a side base and tumbler on the Blue Devils cheerleading team under the leadership of coach LeAnn Hood.
Not only is she the cheer captain, but Emery is also a four-time Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) All-American and a former high-level gymnast.
In addition to her athletic achievements, Emery is an exceptional student.
When she’s not leading cheers, she enjoys exploring her favorite subject, history.
Emery is an active member of the National Honor Society, the Beta Club, and Youth Leadership Walker County. She maintains an impressive GPA of 3.9.
Emery shared her enthusiasm for Youth Leadership, saying, “I get to learn a lot of new life skills and about issues in Walker County.”
As she prepares for her graduation in May 2025, Emery plans to continue her education with a cheer scholarship to Wallace State Community College, where she will enter the radiology program to become an Obstetric Sonographer.
Congratulations, Emery, on your athletic and academic accomplishments. We wish you the best in your future endeavors! WL
