Several local organizations are celebrating America’s independence with fun and festivities. Here’s a look at some upcoming fourth of July events in Walker County. All events listed are open to the public, and free to attend unless otherwise noted.
Wednesday, July 3
- Freedom Fest

What to Expect: Food, music, inflatables, games, and fireworks!
Thursday, July 4
- BBQ Lunch
When: 10 AM – 3 PM
Where: Bevill Café | 101 State Street, Sumiton, AL 35148
What to Expect: Enjoy your choice of meat with two sides, bread, a dessert, and a drink for $13 or all-you-can-eat for $19! Children’s meals include meat, two sides, bread, a drink, and an ice cream cone for $7! There are several choices for meat, sides, and desserts, as well as family meals available.
