Alabama Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries Rick Pate is hosting the 21st Annual Tomato Sandwich Lunch on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Ed Teague Arena (1555 Federal Dr., Montgomery, AL 36107).
Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy fresh local tomatoes and corn from Alabama’s farmers and producers. Several Alabama-produced food products, such as Blue Bell Ice Cream, Golden Flake Chips, Buds Best Cookies, and Milo’s Tea, will also be on the menu.
In conjunction with the Tomato Sandwich Lunch, Alabama’s state branding program, Sweet Grown Alabama, is holding a farmers’ market outside the Ed Teague Arena the day of the lunch.
