Meet Ali Simon, a rising senior Cordova High School senior whose talents extend beyond the sports arena. A two-sport athlete, Ali has been making an impact as a middle blocker in volleyball for coach Mary Kilpatrick, a center in basketball for coach Jonathan Gilbert, and plays club volleyball for coach Dana Waldrep.
Ali has also proven herself to be a remarkable student, with a fantastic 3.85 GPA. When she’s not busy with her sports commitments, you might find Ali studying her favorite subject, early American history.
As she looks ahead to her graduation in May 2025, Ali plans to study to become a pediatric nurse practitioner.
“I used to want to be a surgical technician, but I have a health science class at Walker County Center of Technology, and we were learning about all of the healthcare careers, and that’s when I knew I wanted to be a pediatric nurse practitioner instead,” Ali explains.
Ali is the daughter of Tiffany Simon.
Congratulations, Ali, on your athletic and academic accomplishments. We wish you the best in your future endeavors! WL
