- Live Gospel Concert

Where: Lee’s Family Restaurant & Dinner Theatre | 2825 Highway 78, Dora, AL 35148
Come to Lee’s for a night of food, friends, and gospel music by Dixie Echoes. Entry is $15, and a love offering will be taken for the singers. Tickets are first come, first serve; reservations are not required but can be made by calling (205) 648-9217.

- Puppy Fun Day & Hunting Introduction
When: 9 AM
Where: Faye Whittemore Farms | 1619 Forrester Road, Jasper, AL 35504
Join dog trainer Morgan Nicholas at Faye Whittemore Farms as she introduces puppies to the world of hunting! All pups aged ten weeks to one year are welcome to join the fun and learn new skills such as tracking, waterfowl, upland, obedience, and more! Lunch will be served at noon before a giveaway drawing at 2. The entry fee for one pup is $50; additional siblings are $10. Owners must bring proof of vaccinations. - Fossil Hunt
When: 9 AM-Noon
Where: Meet at Sumiton Walmart | Fossil Hunt at Union Chapel Coal Mine
This local preserved mine is considered one of the top three fossil sights in the world and has been visited by scientists from around the globe. Join Dr. Prescott Adkinson of the Alabama Paleontology Society for an on-site fossil dig. Participants must wear long pants and close-toed shoes for hiking and bring sunscreen, water, a newspaper-lined box for their findings, a small hammer, and a flathead screwdriver or putty knife.
