Curry Fire & Rescue is hosting its Second Annual Curry Day this Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Curry High School. Curry Fire & Rescue created Curry Day to fundraise and interact with the community.
“Public education is the biggest challenge we face in public relations, so this event is for the community to come out, enjoy the vendors, have fun, and get acquainted with the local fire department and how we operate,” says Richard Meeks of Curry Fire & Rescue.
Beginning at 9 a.m. this Saturday, enjoy over forty craft and food vendors, a car show, a motorcycle ride, raffles, door prizes, a petting zoo, horse rides, and a dunk tank with local officials Steve Miller, John Dunagan, and Sheriff Nick Smith. Registration to participate in the motorcycle ride begins at 9:30 a.m., with KSU following at 10:30.
While the event is free, the raffles and motorcycle rides are paid activities. Meeks explains that Curry Fire & Rescue is a donation-based organization and encourages the community to come to Curry Day, enjoy the activities, and support local fire and rescue! WL
