Monday, April 8

  • Solar Eclipse Viewing Party at Jasper Public Library

When: 1:00-2:30 PM
Where: Jasper Public Library | 98 18th Street East, Jasper, AL 35501

Bring a lawn chair and join us for the April 8th Solar Eclipse! The program will be held in the Jasper Public Library parking lot. Due to the program location, no parking for the attendees will be available at the library. The attendees are asked to park at the Jasper Civic Center. Solar Eclipse glasses will be given to those who participate in the program. Limited supply of one per person. The glasses were made possible with a grant from Solar Eclipse Activities for Libraries (S.E.A.L.), a division of the Space Science Institute through the Carl Elliott Regional Library System.   • Solar Eclipse Viewing at the Courthouse Square

When: 12:20-2:30 PM
Where: Walker County Courthouse

Join the community to view the solar eclipse! The first 60 people will receive free viewing glass; optimal viewing time is at 2 p.m.!

Join Wyatt’s Rides & the I-22 Motorsports Park for a fun weekend of food, live music, kids’ activities, and all things off-road vehicles! Come as a spectator or participate in events such as a swamp meet, burnout contest, drag racing, open track, junior dragsters, and monster trucks!
