Zac Bozeman recently assumed the role of Senior Pastor at Dora First Baptist Church, succeeding former Pastor Ken Mostella. Zac is pursuing his studies at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and has dedicated several years to ministry.
While Zac has been engaged in church activities throughout his life, his deeper commitment to ministry began when he married his wife, Jordan. Zac said, “When we got married, we knew that if we were going to have a good marriage and family, we needed to put the Lord first and seriously get involved in church.”
In anticipation of the birth of their first child, Zac and Jordan became members of Farmstead Baptist Church. Zac underwent discipleship training through the church’s leadership and eventually felt the calling to enter ministry. His journey at Farmstead included roles as Interim Pastor and later Youth Pastor.

Following God’s calling, Zac and Jordan joined Dora First Baptist Church, where Zac served as an Associate Pastor for a year. During this time, he collaborated with Mostella to prepare for a more extensive leadership role.
Reflecting on their collaboration, Zac shared, “Ken and I did a unique thing that I think is pretty cool. The church brought me on as an associate. Ken mentored me and gave me many preaching opportunities, and then he stepped back into an associate role. It takes a very godly, humble person to do that. I look up to him, and I’ve really enjoyed working together along the way.”
Zac officially started as Senior Pastor at Dora First Baptist Church in January 2024. Looking ahead, he is eager to complete a bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry and deepen his connections with the members of Dora First Baptist and the surrounding community.
The Walker Leader congratulates Zac on his new position and wishes God’s blessing on his ministry! WL
