Curry High School seniors Eli Kennedy and Ethan Barton have taken a significant step toward pursuing their passion for baseball. On Friday, the talented athletes officially signed with Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama, solidifying their commitment to the sport they love.

“Being able to live out my childhood dream is such a great opportunity. Without God, nothing is possible, and I wouldn’t be able to do it without Him,” said Barton.

Kennedy added, “It’s been a privilege to play for Curry. I’m thankful for the opportunities the coaches have given me over the years, and I’m looking forward to learning and building new talents with Oakwood. I thank God for His guidance, and my family for their support.”

Curry Head Baseball Coach Jonas Barnett commended the hardworking athletes, saying, “It’s great to see these kids fulfill their dreams, and I’m blessed to have the opportunity to Coach a fine group of kids that includes Eli and Ethan.”

Congratulations, Eli and Ethan! We look forward to seeing you continue to succeed in your academic and athletic careers. WL
