Jasper Cornhole is hosting a fundraiser cornhole tournament for the Miss Heart of Dixie – Miss Cotton State Scholarship. The event will take place on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the Jasper Area Family Services Center Gymnasium, located at 1400 19th Street West, Jasper, AL 35501. Registration begins at 11 a.m., with bags flying at noon.
There will be social and competitive divisions; both divisions are Bring Your Own Partner (BYOP). The social division will have a registration fee of $30 per team, and the competitive division is $50 per team. There will be a blind draw following the BYOP tournaments that will cost $10 per player. The top teams in each division will receive a payout.
Participants can also buy chances in the 50/50 drawing and have the possibility to win cash prizes. The Anatomy of Pi food truck and various vendors will also be on site.
Jason Patterson of Jasper Cornhole says, “We’re so glad to help them with the scholarship. We have had a great turnout for our previous scholarship fundraisers; people are great about coming out to support these events. So, Jasper Cornhole is happy to help.” WL
