City Game of the Week: Pledger Sparks Vikings Against Corner

Sophomore running back Micah Pledger had 132 yards rushing to lead the Jasper Vikings against Corner High School in a jamboree game this past Friday. Pledger averaged 11 yards per carry on the night and scored two touchdowns.

Other offensive contributors for the Vikings included:

Tanner Morrow – 4-for-9 passing for 34 yards.

Jalen McCullum – 3-for-5 passing for 55 yards and one TD.

Jaxon Bijolle – three carries, 21 yards and a TD.

Carter Reed – three catches, 22 yards.

Lorenzo Maddox – three catches for 55 yards, one TD.

On the defensive side, Conner Elmore led the Vikings with eight tackles, while Braxton Houston collected seven. Eli Kimbrell had five tackles and a fumble recovery, and Reed made six tackles.

The Vikings rushed for a total of 228 yards on 30 carries and had 89 yards passing on 14 attempts.

Jasper will host Cullman this Friday at Ki-Ro Gambrell Field in Jasper. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. WL
