Cordova High School Senior Hayden “Mater” Colburn is a defensive tackle in football for coach Shane Smothers.

Hayden’s GPA is 3.7, and his favorite subject is history.

“I got into football because my granddaddy used to play, and I have always looked up to him, so I started playing in third grade,” Hayden explained.

After he graduates in May 2024, Hayden plans to pursue a career in welding or mechanics.

Hayden is the son of Kristen Colburn.
