This weekend, the Jasper Swim Team will host the 13th annual Landshark Run-Swim-Run. The event comprises a two-mile run, a 200-yard swim, and another two-mile run.

“It’s the sole fundraiser for the Jasper Swim Team and works as a booster club for the high school swim team,” said Jasper Swim Team coach Jason Lynn.

Do you like to run but not swim, or do you want to swim and not run? No problem. This event can be completed in teams of up to three people, and registration fees are as follows: Individual $20, Team of Two: $40, Team of Three: $60.

Lynn says that proceeds from the event will go toward purchasing new blocks. “The current blocks haven’t been replaced since this was built in 2003,” he said.

The event will be held on Saturday, June 24, and the race starts at 7 a.m at Memorial Park Natatorium at 610 10th Ave in Jasper. Registration begins at 6 a.m. on the day of the event.
