Night Fishing at Walker County Public Lake

Bring your fishing gear, bait, and a flashlight for a memorable night of fishing.

• Time: 5:00 p.m. until 10:30 p.m.
• Location: Walker County Public Lake
• Notes: Day permit required, may be obtained on-site

“Night fishing is something that began under the previous lake manager, and we’re attempting to continue it. We’re hoping to have a really good turnout and get people accustomed to this activity, hopefully to make it a regular event throughout the summer,” said Sonny Posey, manager of Walker County Public Lake.

Take a Kid Fishing Day in Cordova

A family-oriented event to introduce children to fishing.

• Date: Saturday, June 10
• Time: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• Location: Indian Head Mill Park, Downtown Cordova
• Notes: Lunch will be provided
