LeaderSports Featured Athlete: Shyla Armistad, Cordova High School

Let’s congratulate this outstanding student-athlete on her many accomplishments!

Cordova Junior Shyla Armistad is a four-sport athlete, playing outside hitter in volleyball for head coach Faith Sims, point guard and shooting guard in basketball coach Johnathan Gilbert, and centerfield in softball coach Brandon Millican. She is also a varsity cheerleader.

Shyla has a 3.6 GPA, and her favorite subject is science.

“I keep a strong mentality to overcome adversity,” Shyla said. “I don’t try to get down or not let my teammates down.”

After graduating in May 2024, she plans to play softball at the colligate level.

Shyla is the daughter of D’Angelo Armistad and Shacarla Hubbard.
