Oakman junior Gage Blanton is a two-sport athlete who plays center and defensive tackle in football for coach Ryan Hall and golf for coach Ben Panter.
Gage has a 3.87 GPA, and he says his favorite subject is math. He is involved in other school activities such as the Student Government Association (SGA) Beta Club, Future Farmers of America (FFA), and Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). He is also a member of the Scholars’ Bowl team.
“What fires me up is the breakthrough board. It is the most hyped moment before you go out for kickoff,” Gage said.
After he graduates in May 2024, Gage plans to attend The University of Alabama and obtain his master’s degree in finance to follow in his father’s footsteps as a financial advisor.
Gage is the son of Bart Blanton and Jessica Chilton.
