Sam puts his all into both sports and academics, carrying a 3.8 GPA in the classroom. He says his favorite subject is anatomy.
In addition, Sam is involved in other school activities including Beta Club and the National Honors Society.
“To me, I overcome adversity by asking God to help me through it, if I’m having a rough day or just down,” Sam said. “I always ask Him to show me what to do with it, how to overcome it.”
After he graduates in May 2023, Sam plans to attend Bevill State Community for two years then transfer to Samford University to become a pharmacist.
Sam is the son of Jeff and Monti Nix.
