The Alabama Free Will Baptist Children’s Home will host their 3rd annual Donut Dash 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, April 15th, 2023.
The 5K will begin at 8 a.m., followed by a Fun Run at 9 a.m.
The Donut Dash 5K and Fun Run provides a full day of family fun while raising funds for the Alabama FWB Children’s Home. The races will take place on the campus of the children’s home, located at 86 Academy Drive in Eldridge, Alabama.
All ages are welcome to participate, and the age divisions for the 5K are as follows:
- 20 and under
- 20-29
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50-59
- 60 and over
The overall winner, along with the top three males and females from each age division, will receive a medal of recognition, and all participants will get to celebrate with delicious donuts.
Those wishing to register for the races may do so online or in person at the event. All online registrations must be complete by April 14 at 11:59 p.m.
Registration fees are $25 for the Donut Dash 5K and $15 for the Fun Run.
“We would love to have any runners or walkers participate, see our campus, and get an idea of what we do,” says Children’s Home Executive Director Mandy Mitchell. “We want it to be something fun for the community to do, and we’ll keep having it as long as the community supports it.” WL
