Walker County Arts Alliance to Host Art Party on November 14

Jasper, AL — The Walker County Arts Alliance (WCAA) is thrilled to announce the return of Art Party to be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Walker County Arts Alliance, located at 1500 Indiana Avenue, Jasper, AL. This event is one of the most anticipated of the year, featuring over 50 paintings from emerging and professional artists, live music, and an exciting auction. All proceeds from the event benefit the Walker County Arts Alliance’s vital in-school art education programs, helping to foster creativity and artistic expression in our local youth.

Guests will have the opportunity to purchase 12″ x 12″ adult paintings for $50 each and 10” x 10” youth artwork for $25 each. The catch? The artists’ names are signed on the back of the pieces, and buyers will discover the artist only after their purchase, making each sale a delightful surprise. Additionally, there will be an auction for the opportunity to make the first three purchases, led by Matt Mitchell of It’s a Southern Thing and Tallulah’s Trivia Night. Live music will be provided by Jeff Parnell, creating a lively atmosphere while guests enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres, tea, water, wine, and beer.

Tana Collins-Allred, Walker County Arts Alliance Advisory Board member, emphasizes the importance of community support for the arts: “The Art Party is not only an incredible celebration of local talent, but it’s also a vital fundraiser for our in-school art programs. These programs allow us to bring the arts into classrooms across Walker County, enriching the lives of students who may not otherwise have access to arts education. We encourage everyone to come out, enjoy the festivities, and support a wonderful cause. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the future of the arts in our community.”

Tickets for the Art Party are $30 and are limited, so we encourage you to purchase them in advance. Tickets may also be available at the door, depending on availability. Don’t miss your chance to participate in this unique event, support local artists, and help sustain the arts in Walker County.
Tickets can be purchased at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/art-party-tickets-1034152647407.
