During the week, after-school activities take up most of the population’s free time. However, the county is gearing up for a fun-filled weekend featuring Oktoberfest celebrations, bull riding, and a little bit of froggin’ around.

Saturday, October 5th

  • The Frog Festival

When: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Where: Main Street | Sumiton, AL

Have some fun at the annual Frog Festival in Sumiton this Saturday! Enjoy live music, vendors, food and drinks, games, and activities for all ages!

  • The Hive’s Oktoberfest Pre-Party

When: 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Where: The Hive | 509 19th Street West, Jasper, AL 35501

Come to The Hive for an Oktoberfest Pre-Party! Enjoy deals on in-store items, pretzels and mustard, German hats, hair garlands, beer steins, and more!

  • Oktoberfest

When: 3 p.m.

Where: Courthouse Square | Jasper, AL

Bring the whole family out for this Oktoberfest celebration! Enjoy live polka music, food and drinks, inflatables, a hotdog eating contest, and a Stein challenge. Adults can enjoy beer specials from Warehouse 319 and Tallulah Brewing Company, and an after-party at Tallulah’s at 10 p.m. featuring live music from The Divines!

  • Reebo Reeves Invitational Bulls, Barrels, and Breakaway

When: 7 p.m.

Where: Jasper Fairgrounds | 1901 North Airport Road, Jasper, AL 35504

Enjoy a thrilling night of barrel racing, bull riding, and breakaway roping! All proceeds will go towards funding the Shane “Reebo” Reeves Memorial Scholarship, awarded yearly to two vocational school students. Come support and enjoy the fun!
