Screen printing and embroidery business, The Shirt Shop of Jasper, will soon be under new ownership, with Rebecca Franklin taking the reins.
As the owners of AquaXpress, a business providing swimming pool service and maintenance, Rebecca says she and her husband Matt have had the chance to expand their business ventures in years past, but the timing was never right until now.
“The Shirt Shop has been a successful business for Ken Madison and his family over the years,” says Rebecca. “We decided that it was a good opportunity we didn’t want to pass up. It just kind of fell in our laps, and we couldn’t say no.”
Rebecca has over 20 years of experience with monogramming and embroidery, and 8 years of experience with vinyl, and is looking forward to channeling her talents into this local business. She and her father, Cliff Rhodes, have taken over the day-to-day operations, and while waiting to finalize the purchase, Rebecca is making plans to expand the shop, introduce new products, and make sure The Shirt Shop continues to thrive.
“I’m excited to continue to grow a business that has been successful over the years, and I’m looking forward to seeing where it goes from here!” she says. WL
