The Map Room at the Walker County Revenue Commission Office is responsible for maintaining accurate property records.

The Map Room staff maintains Walker County’s property tax maps by processing deeds, plats, and legal documents daily. Their work ensures records remain precise for taxpayers, attorneys, and title searchers.

This essential work is handled by three dedicated professionals: Becky McGough, Ande Concord, and Kinley Hall.

Becky McGough

Becky McGough has worked in the Map Room for 20 years, moving from the Probate Office without prior mapping experience. She quickly learned the skills necessary and became Chief Mapper in 2009. Her role includes updating tax maps, training new employees, and ensuring accuracy in property records. She values the challenges of the job and the opportunity to continuously learn.

“I absolutely love to learn something new,” Becky says. “Every day brings its own challenges, but I enjoy solving problems and making sure everything is accurate.”

Outside of work, Becky enjoys spending time with her family, including her six grandchildren and two great-nieces. She also likes reading and using coloring apps, and hopes to return to singing karaoke one day.

Ande Concord

Ande Concord began working for Walker County in 2001 as a jailer before transferring to the Revenue Office in 2006. She became a full-time mapper in 2014, responsible for processing deeds and legal documents. She enjoys working with her colleagues and assisting residents with property concerns.

“The people I work with are like family,” Ande shares. “Helping residents and making a difference in the community is what keeps this job meaningful.”

Ande has been married for 16 years and has two sons. She is involved in the Miss Alabama Organization as a judge and serves as the Children’s Church Director at Carbon Hill Church of God, where she also sings on the praise team.

Kinley Hall

Kinley Hall joined the Map Room in May 2024 after graduating from Curry High School and Wallace State Community College – Hanceville. She focuses on ensuring the accuracy of tax maps and enjoys interacting with Walker County residents.

“I love meeting people in the community and helping them with their mapping needs,” Kinley says. “Every day, I learn something new and grow in my role.”

Outside of work, Kinley enjoys spending time with family and friends and attending concerts. WL
