The Christmas Season is officially here, and we at the Chamber of Commerce of Walker County would like to express our sincere gratitude to friends, family, and coworkers.
Tonight’s parade is expected to be the largest in the chamber’s history. As we celebrate our annual Christmas parade festivities, we hope you will be transformed into a magical world of imagination seen through the eyes of all children. We ask you to dress warm, have fun, and, most of all, be safe.
For those unfamiliar with today, it is “Giving Tuesday,” which is held yearly to encourage people to do good and appreciate life’s simple pleasures. We would like to thank the community on this Giving Tuesday for all those who participated in our first-ever toy drive, helping children in North Carolina and Georgia who lost everything, including their homes, bring a little joy into their lives. You can still participate.
The deadline to turn in a new, unwrapped toy to the Chamber of Commerce is December 5.
Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow!
