Bevill State Community College Welcomes Bobby Daniels as New Head Volleyball Coach and Associate Athletic Director

Bevill State Community College is pleased to announce the appointment of Bobby Daniels as the new Head Coach for the Lady Bears volleyball team on the Fayette Campus and as Associate Athletic Director. With a remarkable career spanning over 30 years in coaching, including 20 years in volleyball, Coach Daniels brings extensive experience and dedication to Bevill State. His volleyball coaching record includes an impressive 1,011 career wins and 276 losses, showcasing his commitment to excellence.

Coach Daniels joins Bevill State after a record-setting season at Vinemont High School, where he led the Lady Eagles to a school-record 49 wins and secured the first area championship in the school’s history. Previously, he coached at Jasper High School, where he guided the Lady Vikings to consecutive AHSAA state championships in 2018 and 2019, achieving a stellar 133-14 record during those seasons. Over his career, Coach Daniels’ teams have competed in five state championship matches, earning two state titles and three state runner-up finishes (2007, 2011, and 2017). He is known for building championship-caliber teams and fostering academic success among his players.

“I am deeply honored to be named the next head coach of Bevill State Volleyball,” said Coach Daniels. “I want to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Joel Hagood and Athletic Director Chris Harris for their confidence in me. My own journey in college athletics began right here on the Fayette campus, thanks to Coach Dick Anderson, and I’m thrilled to help create those same opportunities for today’s student-athletes. I am committed to building a culture of excellence, where our players can thrive on the court and in the classroom.”

Dr. Joel Hagood, President of Bevill State Community College, added, “Bringing a coach of Bobby Daniels’ caliber to Bevill State is a testament to our commitment to athletic excellence and student success. His leadership and experience will be invaluable to our volleyball program and our college community as a whole.”

Bevill State Athletic Director Chris Harris shared his enthusiasm, saying, “Coach Daniels is a proven leader with a history of success and dedication to his players’ development. We are thrilled to welcome him to the Bevill State Bears family, and we look forward to watching him elevate our volleyball program with his championship-winning vision.”

Coach Daniels’ arrival marks an exciting new chapter for Bevill State Volleyball as he brings his championship pedigree and commitment to success to the Fayette Campus. The college community eagerly anticipates the positive impact he will have on the program.
