Meet Carlos Portillo, a Jasper High School senior whose talents extend far beyond the sports arena. As a dedicated two-sport athlete, Carlos has been making waves both as a kicker in football for Coach David Reeves and as a striker in soccer for Coach Gunter Wisdom.
Reflecting on his experience on the soccer team, Carlos shared, “It’s amazing. Coach Wisdom wants us to reach our potential in every training session, and he always tries to keep us accountable for one another.”
Carlos is not only an outstanding athlete but also a remarkable student, maintaining a solid GPA of 3.0. As he looks ahead to his graduation in May 2025, Carlos plans to pursue college soccer or play abroad with the aspiration of becoming a professional footballer.
Carlos is the son of Keyli Portillo.
