Meet Elijah Herron, a Bevill State Community College sophomore whose talents extend beyond the sports arena. Elijah has been making waves on the basketball court as a point guard for coach Billy Conner.
Elijah says he is greatly influenced by retired NBA player Allen Iverson. “I love the way he dribbles, and he was a short guard who was able to score and help his team get to the playoffs.”
Elijah has also proven himself to be a remarkable student. When he’s not busy with his sports commitments, you might find him studying history, his favorite subject.
As he looks ahead to his graduation in May 2025, Elijah plans to pursue a career in cybersecurity.
Elijah Herron is the son of Marlon Herron; Rachel and Jeremiah Gipson.
