Anyone interested in sponsoring a mule to support the arts in Walker County is encouraged to contact the Walker County Arts Alliance at 205-221-1711 or email wcaa.arts@gmail.com.

The Walker County Arts Alliance public art program is proud to
introduce a new mule to the Mule Team, which now has 79 artful mules scattered
throughout Walker County. “Cash” is sponsored by Jerry Porch of the Edward Jones
office at 103 18th Street in Jasper.

“Cash, our handsome mule, proudly stands in front of our office as a reminder to all
those who see him that we need to continue the fight against Alzheimer’s Disease, a
condition which has affected my family and many others I know. Edward Jones partners
with the Alzheimer’s Association to continue ‘fighting for a different future.'”

The mule was painted by Jerry Porch’s daughter, Leslie Brook Porch, and features a
blanket encouraging everyone to “Help Cure Alzheimer’s” with an array of flowers. The
mule is a lovely addition nestled into the Jerry Porch Edward Jones rock garden and
water feature on 18th Street in Jasper.

A listing of the mules can be found at wcart.org/50-mule-team. Anyone interested in
