The Walker County Arts Alliance presents the 18th annual Art in the Park event this Saturday, May 13th, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Gamble Park. With over 70 local and regional artists displaying their artwork, attendees will have the opportunity to explore and purchase unique pieces while supporting their community’s artistic talent.

Each artist will have a booth set up to showcase their work, and one art piece from each category will be entered for judging. There will also be numerous activities for children and families to enjoy, along with delicious food options and captivating dance performances by members of the Athletic Arts Center. Local radio station WJLX will be broadcasting live from the event, adding to the festive atmosphere.

As an added bonus, the Young Jeweler’s Trolley on Main (TOM) will be offering shuttle service to and from Downtown Jasper’s Harbin Park for the inaugural Jasper Home and Garden Show, also taking place on Saturday.

Rebecca Roberts, Secretary of the Walker County Arts Alliance Board, expressed her enthusiasm for the event, stating, “Every year it seems like we have someone new that joins and brings something interesting to the mix. So, I’m really excited to see what the artists have in store.” WL
